VICTORIA BRADY

Victoria Brady is the Founder and Executive Director of Ray of Hope Center of the Arts. Victoria is a Humanitarian, Playwright, Singer, Artistic Director, and Ordained Minister. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical Studies from the International College of Bible Theology. She is the co-founder of ABJ Community Services, Inc, one of Chicago’s most effective social service organizations.

She has performed locally, nationally and internationally. Her performances have wowed heads of states, Chairmen of boards, nationally and internationally known athletes and celebrities, and internationally known dignitaries such as Winnie Mandella. She has an extensive background in theatre having performed in “Dreamgirls,” “Little Shop of Horrors,” “The Wiz,” and The Black Ensemble Theatre’s “Mama Said There’d Be Days Like This” for which she was nominated for a Black Theatre Alliance Award for her role as Martha Reeves.

She has worked with the awe-inspiring Al Sofia Orchestra and the world renowned Chicago Jazz Ensemble under the late William Russo. Yet, one of her greatest roles is played out in the community where she works feverishly to help bring a “ray of hope” to others through the arts.

Victoria is adept in youth programming, strategic planning, community relations, and fund raising. She is one of Chicago’s most skilled artistic directors. As a result of her passion for the arts and community development, hundreds of children, teens, and adults have performed in a wide array of high quality productions, including the Broadway hit musical “Dreamgirls” which was recently brought back to the city of Chicago. Her long term vision is that Ray of Hope Center of the Arts will be the catalyst to about a cultural revolution and positive change in society using the formidable power of the arts.
